Rithum Stat is Rithum's thermostat implementation which supports a heating zone and a cooling zone, providing both manual setpoint adjustment and scheduling via our 7-day scheduler.
Rithum Stat works by switching one or more relays via one of our other integrations. For example, this could be a Zigbee relay paired with Philips Hue, or a Rako or Lutron Ra2 Select Relay, or trigger switching via integrations such as Control4 and Homey.
Temperature Sensing
Rithum Stat can either use the built-in temperature sensor, an external temperature sensor (currently Shelly BLU H&T is supported) or an average of both. An Offset can also be configured for any in-room variances.
To add an external Shelly BLU H&T sensor, power the sensor in range then select External Sensor and when the pairing modal is shown, press the button on the sensor. This should then confirm that the sensor is paired. It's then possible to change the sensor mode and also apply an offset to the external sensor if desired.
Heating & Cooling Zone Differences
Rithum Stat offers a Heating zone and a Cooling zone, which differ in how they function. One or both can be configured and used.
- Heating Zone - The user can select a Heat On Action (triggered when heat is required) and a Heat Off Action (triggered when heat is satisfied i.e. the set point is reached) which could be a scene or a device in any compatible integration
- Cooling Zone - The user can select a Cooling Action (which will be toggled when satisfied) and also Low, Medium, & High Mode actions.
Heating Zone Configuration
To configure the Rithum Stat heating zone, set a Zone Name, Heat On and Off Actions, and Enable the Heating Zone. The Heat On Action and Heat Off Action will allow the selection of a scene from another integration or a Philips Hue device, for example a Zigbee Relay paired with Philips Hue or a relay or scene within another lighting integration.
Cooling Zone Configuration
The Rithum Stat Cooling Zone is designed for use with FCU's that can take a relay or contact input to activate cooling and optionally separate relays to activate power/fan modes.
To configure the Rithum Stat cooling zone, set a Zone Name, Heat On and Off Actions, and Enable the Cooling Zone. The Cooling On Action and power Mode actions will allow the selection of a relay device from another integration or a Philips Hue device, for example a Zigbee Relay paired with Philips Hue or a relay or scene within another lighting integration.
Usage
The configured Rithum Stat Zones will now show in the Zone List accessible from the climate screen. The user can now manually adjust the setpoint or resume the schedule.
Using the Scheduler tab on the left, the schedule can be configured for that zone. From here, you can add up to 8 time slots per day to build a seven day schedule. It is possible to copy and paste between days. Be sure to enable the scheduler in the top right as desired.
Note that any manual adjustment to the zone on/off state or the set point will override any schedule. In the case of Rithum Stat, this will be reset at the next scheduled event or the Resume button will resume the schedule immediately. For other integrations, the override is defined by the integration itself.
