Requirements
- Rithum Switch Pro
- Firmware 4.2+
- Rithum Video Streaming plugin installed
Overview
Configured video streams may be used for 2 purposes:
- Camera View: view a video stream, e.g. CCTV camera by pressing a scene button (video only, no audio)
- Video Intercom: To view a video stream associated with an audio SIP call (e.g. from an intercom unit)
Video Capabilities
- 4:3 aspect ratio, 16:9 will be cropped to fit
- Max. 720p (1280x720) resolution, but choose 640x480 if possible
- The screen resolution provided on the switch is 480x360 so where possible, set that as the source stream resolution. For example, this can be requested from the 2N IP Verso intercom in the RTSP URL:
rtsp://<user>:<password>@<IP address>/media?vcodec=h265&vres=480x360&fps=15&vbr=10240&audio=0&zipstream=off
- See this guide on converting SRTSP to RTSP if required.
Configuration
Individual video streams are added as separate integrations. To add a new stream, in switch settings go to:
Integrations > Add Integration > Video Streaming > Add Video Stream...
Visit the web page address shown or scan the QR code. This will provide the following configuration page:
"Display Name" and "Stream URL" must be entered. Display Name provides a friendly name to show in the switch UI and the stream address to be played. If only playing a stream via a scene button then these are the only fields required.
"SIP Address" can be entered in order to associate the video stream with a 'From' address when there is an audio SIP call. "SIP Display Name" can then also be entered if required in cases where the SIP call doesn't provide a contact name in the 'From' address.
To show a demo video stream when initiating a demo intercom call from the Intercom settings screen press "Populate Demo Fields" to enter the required fields (although you may then change the name fields to ones of your choosing if preferred).
Press "Save Configuration". The switch should then show that configuration has been sent. Press on the "Go There" button if you wish to add a 'Play Stream' scene button to your Scenes screen.
