KNX IP Release Notes

Requirements

• One or more KNX IP gateways on the same network as Rithum Switch which support KNX Tunneling Protocol (TP). Although the integration is expected to work with any gateway that supports TP, it has so far been tested with the following (which we will continue to update so please let us know any problems or any new gateways that work):

  • GIRA 2167 00 IP-Router (TCP)
  • Weinzierl IP Interface 731 (UDP)*
  • Weinzierl BAOS 771 (UDP)*
  • 1Home Server (UDP)*
  • EAE IPI200 IP Interface (UDP)*
  • MDT SCN-IP100.03 (TCP)
  • MDT SCN-IP000.03 (TCP)
  • Enertex KNX IP Secure Interface (TCP - non-secure mode only)

* A connection type of UDP needs to be specified in the configuration - KNX IP Configuration

Current Capabilities

• Configure zones, commands and lights and a temperature feed address by sending YAML configuration data to the switch - see KNX IP Configuration

• Zones with their associated lights will be available on the Levels screen with on/off toggles and brightness sliders (where applicable)

• Configured commands will be available as scene buttons

• Lights on, lights off and toggle lights scenes available as scene buttons

• Select toggle all lights for the standby screen hold gesture, or select 2 commands to alternate between
• Activate configured commands for the Rithum Stat heat on/off actions
• Send current temperature updates to the configured temperature feed group address in KNX

Limitations

• IP gateways have a limited number of simultaneous Tunneling Protocol (TP) connections which will limit the number of Rithum Switches that can be connected to the same gateway

• KNX IP Secure is not currently supported
• Currently no Climate screen integration available
