3.0 Feature Guide
Levels Screen for Philips Hue and Demo Levels
A highly anticipated feature is the ability to adjust individual lighting levels from within Rithum Switch, which is now possible with the roll-out this latest update. Users are able to adjust the lighting at Group Level, for example all lights in the Kitchen Group, or at individual device level, with the easy to use on/off toggles and sliders.
The new Levels Screen is included as standard with Philips Hue, and in due course will be released as add-on plugins for other providers such as Rako, Fibaro and Lutron. To configure the Levels Screen for Philips Hue simply:
- Click the Settings Tab at the top of the Scenes Screen
Configure which rooms or zones will be displayed by navigating to Screens > Levels Screen > Add Items…
Once rooms or zones have been added a new navigation tab will be available to the right of the Scenes Screen
Fibaro Climate temp sensor available via QuickApp
For Nice/Fibaro users, we are pleased to launch a dedicated Quick App for climate control.
This means that users who would like to use their Fibaro systems for climate control, but don’t have a thermostat built into their system, are now able to use Rithum Switch as a thermostat via its built in temperature sensor and utilise a device within Fibaro to actuate the heating zone.
Please note that Quick App requires the Fibaro Climate Plugin.
For detailed instructions on how to setup Quick App, please view our Fibaro Climate Quick App Setup blog.
Software version: 2.4
- Group scenes including Macro, List & Step
- Wake on new track
- New Scene icons
- Various bug fixes and performance enhancements
2.4 Feature Guide
Group Scenes
Group scenes greatly enhance the scenes screen. There are three modes:
- Macro (default) - All scenes in the group are activated when the group button is pressed, in the order that they are listed.
- List - Pressing the group button causes a list of the scenes in the group to be shown. Press a scene from the list to activate it. This vastly increases the number of scenes accessible from the Scenes screen which can be grouped, for example, by area.
- Step - Each press of the group button advances to the next scene in the group. The button shows the scene which will be activated when next pressed.
Create a group scenes button via Screens > Scenes Screen > Add Group Scene
Press Add Scenes to add scenes to the group.
Once you've added child scenes, you can set the mode. Both the child scenes and the group scene can have an icon assigned, be renamed, removed, and be re-ordered. If there is no icon set for the group scene, then it will be derived from the first child scene and likewise with labels, except for Step mode which will show the content from the next scene to be activated. If either is set in the group scene, this will override child settings. Note that in Macro mode, the execution will happen in order.
The group scenes on the main scenes screen will show a helpful symbol to denote the mode for the group.
Wake screen when audio meta data changes
If the media screen is currently active and the track meta data changes, then the screen will come out of standby. This is really useful to see what the new track is. To enable, go to Display > Wake on New Track.
